Knowing where physical assets are, and keeping an inventory of them up to date, is the need behind this research line. SEADEV is exploring ArUco markers for it: small square printed codes, each carrying an identifier, that an ordinary camera can detect and locate in an image. The aim is to use computer vision to establish the precise position of each tagged asset and to monitor inventory from camera images. This is SEADEV's own research, started in 2024 alongside a lift modernisation engagement, and it is still in development: it is not yet a delivered product.
